Acne Myths
There are many speculations and myths going all around about the possible cause and remedies for the acne. Some of the available acne information, rather than providing us with the best and factual information on acne provide us some misleading concepts and awareness about this.
The most important and best acne information that we have to get know about is the actual definition and the real meaning of "acne". Acne is regarded as a disorder caused to the skin that created from the activities of body hormones and other constituents of our skin, the hair follicles and oil glands. It usually appears on the surface of the skin especially in face, chest, neck, shoulders and back of a person.
Misconceptions and Myths on Acne
To know proper facts about acne and have its information, it is significant to know that there are so many misconceptions and myths are going around that the people has put together about acne, about the causes for it and about the treatment for it. The most common among is that tanning keeps away your skin affected with acne. The fact is the by tanning, it will not help to cure the acne and its scars, it only wrap them up.
Something that is the most dangerous consequence is that when you are resorting to tanning to cure acne, it may cause in you to develop a sort of allergy by the reaction of chemicals that you used for tanning. Another popular going round untrue information about acne is that greasy food and chocolate causes in people the break out of acne. Scientific studies have not yet proven this fact and that there are some particular foods that causes the outbreak of acne. Each of our body nature differs from one another and our physique reacts in different ways to what we are eating or consuming. In few people an outbreak can be obvious after taking some particular foods which in others it won't. Yet false information on acne that often comes to echo in our ears is that the frequent washing of face, may reduce the possibility of causing acne.
Though cleaning of the face may possibly get rid of the bacteria and other oil contents from our face, it may cause to severe aridness if washed often which may cause some frequent breakouts. It is also, not correct it assuming that by popping your pimple, you can instantly remove them. Popping the zit can only worsen the severity of the condition since it may tend to push the bacteria deeper in to your skin which may eventually cause to more infection and sort of irritation.
Above all, the worst of the untrue acne information that we often hear from acne ads are that it needs to use more acne medication till we get rid of the pimples. This misconception is posing some extreme danger since it not only compels you to spend on more but also dries up your skin. Available over-the-counter medications for acne contain drying agents like salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. If this medication did not work to your disorder, it is necessary to consult your doctor and get some better treatment.
Acne is a difficult and embarrassing situation, we can help you understand it and we can teach you how to get rid of acne once and for all. To better treat your acne problem you must understand what the causes behind it. Getting rid of acne is simple when you know how.

Getting Rid Of Facial Wrinkles
Time Line: Since the beginning of time people have been struggling with signs of ageing. For centuries alchemist and philosophers have sought to find a secret formula for making ageing rulers appear younger and more vibrant. Stockholders today watch for new products that can eliminate or prevent wrinkles rather than cover them. They know millions of dollars can be made from the millions of people who rush to purchase these products.
The First Step: The first step is probably the most difficult. You must be able to look at yourself in the mirror. Pay close attention to your wrinkles as you make different facial expressions. Are those lines more pronounced when you smile, frown, squint or laugh?The first step in erasing those wrinkles is to change those expressions which cause them to be most visible. ( Unless that expression is a smile.) In my experience however, people who smile tend to have fewer wrinkles.This will require a conscious effort at first. Don't worry it will start to become natural in time. After all it took several years of the same facial expression to develop those lines.
Surgery as an Option: There are literally hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on cosmetic surgery. Face lift surgery alone is a multi million dollar industry. This type of surgery can and usually does wonders for a persons psyche. Along with their new younger appearance comes a considerably lighter pocket book.. I have heard of people spending $10,000 on a face lift. My skin wrinkles when I hear that! Then of course there is the discount face lift that gets botched. The patient is scared for life. Why take that risk? Herein lies a problem. After a few years or in some cases months, the wrinkles begin to re-appear. Why does this happen? Chances are you were never instructed concerning the first step. If you continue to use the same facial expressions, the same lines will return. You can count on that.
Instant Gratification: The surgical nip and tuck face lift can give you instant gratification. Your friends will notice the new younger looking you. Then they will likely want to know how much it cost. Any thing worth having is worth working for. Getting rid of wrinkles with essential oils is not instant! However, with continual use it will be lasting. In most cases essential oils will begin erasing your wrinkles in about 30 days. The beautiful thing about it is the change is gradual. Your friends will notice that you are looking younger. Of course, they will want to know your secret. Feel free to let them know you saved thousands of dollars removing your wrinkles using essential oils.
Cell Regeneration: Essential oils work on a molecular level and will actually regenerate skin cells! Essential oils have circulation stimulating properties which oxygenate the blood. This action energizes the cells allowing skin regeneration to take place.
Don't Apply the Brakes: When fighting the signs of ageing try to avoid slowing the process. A healthy lifestyle and diet will hasten your results. Habits such as alcohol and tobacco will slow the process considerably.
Anti-ageing Oils: The following essential oils can cut ten years off your appearance. When you look younger you feel younger and may even gain a new outlook on life.Carrot, clary sage, fennel, frankincense, galbanum, German chamomile, hyssop, lavender, lemon, lime, myrrh, neroli, orange, oregano, palmarosa, patchouli, rose, rosemary, thyme, vervain, violet leaf and yarrow.Any one of these oils will work on their own. Should you decide to be creative you can blend two or more to suit your particular needs.Use these oils in a bath, face oils or body rub. For use in a bath place 6 drops in warm bath and soak. As a face oil or body rub use 25 drops of your chosen oil in one half once of light nut oil such as fractionated coconut or almond oil. For best results apply face oil and body rub oil immediately following your bath. If you plan to blend oils remember to mix the essential oil together before adding them to your carrier oil.
Ironing out the Wrinkles: For centuries we have been seeking new ways to fight the signs of ageing. Through all of our technology and expensive surgeries there is nothing as effective or long lasting as essential oils.
Remember to always use therapeutic grade essential oils for optimum results!

Facial Exercises - Naturally techniques to stay younger
There is a moment in everyone’s life, when you notice for the first time, (it may be for some around your 35th birthday), wrinkles and sagginess on your face. These may appear as a result of stress-filled days, good and bad personal experiences, genetics and a host of other factors influencing your life.
At first, looking from different angles in the mirror you think, perhaps you can do something about it. Well, anti-aging creams definitely improve the texture of the skin through quality moisturizing and fight against damaging UV rays together with regular beautician visits. What about droopy cheeks, dull skin color and a baggy looking jaw-line? You try to recall all the solutions offered on TV infomercials and magazine advertisements, thinking what is the best possible answer for fighting these aging signs appearing on your face?
The explanations offered by experts are pointing to different factors causing your skin to age:
-free radicals, highly reactive molecules created by factors like smoking and UV rays that damage skin cells, specially visible around eyes and lips:
- insufficient intake of fresh fruit and vegetables that contain vitamins and minerals necessary for skin regeneration and rejuvenation (vitamins C, A and E)
-depleted collagen and weaken muscles causing skin to sag
-genetic predisposition
Now, what is available? For people who don’t believe in aging gracefully, there are few options:
- Paying a visit to a reputable plastic surgeons practice. This may be a solution for those with a readily disposable income, but for the majority perhaps this would not be an option.
- Botox injections, applied to small muscles underlying visible lines every three to six months, temporarily paralyzes the muscles, smoothing out the skin above
- Boost collagen production with non-ablative lasers that help stimulate collagen production in the dermis
Or, FACIAL EXERCISES, a new approach that is more and more appealing to those who are looking for a natural, inexpensive and non-invasive way to improve facial appearance. Several programs have been known in the last 30 years ranging from educational books, different devices and the advocates of facial exercises agree, if you stick with them, the results will pay off. Massage and facial exercises are a maintenance regimen for stimulating muscles and keeping the skin in place.
Ayurveda, an ancient Indian science, uses massage and facial exercises as a key to delay the aging process and help prevent wrinkles.
What benefits or initial improvements would you notice or gain using this method for facial aging prevention? The improvement in color and tautness in your skin is expected between 3-4 weeks based on everyday facial workout. An overall fresher and youthful look gradually comes within 3 months. Facial exercises are painless and easy to learn, working the same way we exercise our body muscles. The benefit that is gained by exercising the facial muscles, is improving skin tone, strengthening underlying muscle structure which in turn supports our facial skin and keeps it taut and supple.
According to the Washington Post, an exciting trend is taking place where facial exercises have become popular in USA. Fitness clubs in Manhattan, Washington D.C., Pittsburg, Boston and other places across the United States are now joining in the fashion of offering facial exercise classes. These are likened to aerobic classes for the face.
Some exercises are done by using the fingers to provide the resistance. The Australian company Oris Vista Pty Ltd , has developed a new innovative product that eliminates the overstretching of facial skin by using a ball to provide the resistance. Five short, but effective exercises, combined with the Oris Vista Face Exercise Ball are all that are needed to enable our facial muscles to have a complete workout. Oris Vista Face Exercise Ball with facial exercises instructions and anti-aging aromatherapy oil blend is available to order via www.faceexerciseball.com . The website also offers FREE BEAUTY TIPS AND RECIPES FROM YOUR OWN KITCHEN.

Skin Cancer Prevention
- Use sunscreen daily. Apply a golf ball–size amount to exposed areas every day, cloudy or sunny, all year long. Reapply every two hours when you are out of doors.
- Pick a number. “Anything less than SPF 15 isn’t worthwhile,” says Dr. Read. Go for an SPF of at least 30.
- Choose wisely. The SPF in your makeup may be fine when you’re spending most of the day at the office, but if you’re exercising outdoors or splashing in the pool, opt for a waterproof sunscreen.
- Read labels. Some skin savers: benzophenones (oxybenzone), sulisobenzone, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, and Parsol 1789. And last year, the FDA approved the UVA blocker ecamsule (brand name, Mexoryl).
- Seek shade. Avoid direct sun—especially between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M.—and wear a wide-brim hat.
- Consider sun-protective clothing. A regular cotton T-shirt offers an SPF of just 5, but tightly woven UV fabrics can block out more than 97 percent of UV rays. Also available, notes Dr. Read: Rit SunGuard, a clothing rinse with a special ingredient that effectively scatters UV light.
- Don’t forget your lips and eyes. Use lip balms and lipsticks that contain SPF, and choose sunglasses with UV-protective lenses.

SPARKLING BEAUTY
This summer, add some bling to your makeup routine. “The colors for this season are beautiful metallic shades,” says makeup artist Mally Roncal. To create your own luminous look:
1. Keep foundation soft and sheer. “I love powder foundation in summer,” says Roncal. “It’s sheer and helps fight oil and shine.”
2. To help set your eye shadow, start with eye shadow base. Then apply sheer metallic shadow from lash line to crease. Choose a liner with a bit of sparkle; dust with translucent powder.
3. Apply blush to the apples of the cheeks in a circular motion, then swipe shimmery powder across cheekbones.
4. Slick on lip gloss! Use a sheer “invisible” lip liner, or a natural liner that matches your lip tone, to keep gloss in place.
5. Polish nails to perfection with a cool, icy shade. “This summer, polishes are washes of shimmery pastel delight—think Italian ices,” says Robert Cleary, director of product development for Dashing Diva.
Follow these skincare- and makeup tips, and you’ll not only prevent skin cancer, but look and feel great all summer long!

More men are beginning to become conscious of their need for men's skin care products for their grooming needs. Men have very unique skin and they need to choose carefully when purchasing anything that claims to improve or enhance their appearance.
Cleansing is Not Optional
Many men may just be using bar soap, or even worse, nothing at all to cleanse their face. It is important that a man properly cleanses his face to prevent excess oils from building up and causing unsightly skin problems. There are anti wrinkle and special cleansing skin care lotions and creams that are made to clean the unique skin of a man without drying it out and making it rough. Using regular soap can leave the skin too dry, so picking out a specific facial cleanser for men will help men get the skin they want.
Moisturizing for Men
Another important skin care cream for him, are moisturizers that are designed especially for a guy's skin. Not just any moisturizer will do, so you want to steer away from moisturizers that have oil bases and go for those that are water based. When you use moisturizers on your skin, it can prevent drying, chapping and premature aging, as well.
Shaving After-Care
Whether using a straight razor, disposable razor, or an electric razor, many men choose to shave frequently to keep their beard either trimmed, or completely shaved off. When shaving regularly, men may find that their skin becomes irritated and sometimes leaves pores open, which can be unsightly and a place for bacteria to breed. There are men's skin care products that are designed, in the forms of toners and aftershave gels, that will help with problems that occur after shaving. Toners will help to minimize pores and aftershave gels can help with the irritation that often occurs.
Dark Circles
Men’s skin care products also include special formulas for men to get rid of dark circles under their eyes. Most of these products for men contain either caffeine or Vitamin K to help minimize the appearance of circles. Using these kinds of anti aging skin care products can help the guys appear more professional and handsome than ever before.
Skin care is important, even for men, and using the best skin care products can help improve the quality of your skin and help keep it looking younger and healthier as well. Eye Beauty Care
Do eye padding exercise to strengthen the eye area and improve its circulation around that area. Use your third and fourth finger on each hand, using lightly press and padded movements under your eyes start from inside and then out until you reach the temple and pressed for 10 seconds. Repeat a few times. Do it everyday, during application of eye gel, cream or serum, or whenever necessary without make up.
In today’s changing lifestyle and pattern, you notice some students as young as teenagers have started developing eye puffiness and dark circles which is not so common in the past.
Use eye care products to repair and treat your eye area. Use an eye product daily, add it into your daily skin care regime and start a weekly DIY (Do-it-yourself) intensive eye treatment at home. You may do it alone or together with your DIY home facial treatment.
Use cooling cucumber slices and place it on each eye, rest for 10 minutes. Remove and wash your eye area with clean water. You can also substitute with potato slices or cooling tea bags.
Instead of using vegetables, you can opt to use light weight eye gel masque. Apply around the eyes, rest and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Wash your eye area with clean water.

Use a light weight eye gel or cream masque which does not cause milia seeds or oil seeds. Apply around the eyes, rest and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Wash your eye area with clean water.
Use ready made at the counter eye pads masque. Leave it on eye area for 10-15 minutes or as instructed. Remove and wash your eye area with clean water after that.

Natural Skin Care For Glowing, Vibrant Skin
Use natural products on your skin. Your skin absorbs most things that it is exposed. Using products that are laden with chemicals and synthetics is harmful not only for your skin but for other organs. Using all natural skin care products benefits your body as a whole.
Read those labels. Learn the ingredients. Ingredients are listed under names you may not be familiar. Even if you do not recognize one, it may still be natural. The agency that regulates labeling has strict guidelines as to what things can be called. Learn the most common for the products you desire to use.
Using natural skin care products will benefit both your skin and your environment. Look for companies that use natural or recyclable packaging as well.
Hydrate your skin. This is done by drinking plenty of clean pure water. This point cannot be stressed enough. The first thing you notice when someone is dehydrates is the state of their skin. Many foods and drinks we consume can dehydrate us. Coffee is a diuretic that will leave your skin thirsting for more water. For every cup of coffee you drink, it is recommended that you drink two glasses of water to replenish yourself. There are other hidden culprits in your diet as well. It is best to drink those six to eight glasses of water a day to ensure you get what your skin is thirsting for.
Protect your skin from the sun. Sun damage can age your skin. If you are out in the sun for any period, it is best to protect your skin from the damaging rays of the sun. Wearing long sleeves and a hat with a wide brim are ways to protect your skin. Invest in a natural sunscreen as well. There are more varieties appearing on the market all the time.
Ensure you get all the vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids that you need. Avoid over processed fatty foods. This will all show up in the condition of your skin. The old saying you are what you eat applies to your skin. You can tell a persons diet by looking at their skin.
If you take care of your skin in a healthy natural way, you will be rewarded. You will have healthy glowing skin that people will be envious. Take care of your skin and your skin will take care of you.

Acne Scar Treatments
Acne, commonly called pimples, is an inflammatory disease of the skin. It is caused by changes in the pilosebaceous. The most common form of acne is known as "acne vulgaris", which means "common acne". The hair folicles are blocked by the combination of oils and dead skin cells. Comedones, papules, pustules, nodules and inflammatory cysts are the different types of acme lesions. They are mainly caused on the face, chest, back, shoulders and upper arms. These acne lesions are inflamed form of pus-filled reddish bumps that appear mainly during adolescence.
There are various factors causing acne. Some of them are the hormonal activities like the menstrual cycle and increased output of hormones from the adrenal glands. Accumulation of dead skin cells, bacteria in the pores, skin irritation or scratching, use of antibiotic steroids, use of medication containing halogens, lithium, barbiturates or androgens, and exposure to high levels of chlorine compounds can also cause acne.
Ace treatments can be done with the help of benzoyl peroxide, proactive solution, antibiotics, tretinion, isotretinion, contraceptive pills, salicylic acid, adapalene, laser treatment, blue light treatment and herbal remedies. 90% of adolescents have acne. Acne can be treated in various ways. Exfoliating the skin, using topical bactericidals, topical antibiotics, oral antibiotics, hormonal treatment, external retinoids, oral retinoids, and phototherapy are some of the methods of treating acne. The non inflammatory acne can be treated with azelaic, salicytic acid, topical retinoids and benzoyl peroxide. The mild inflammatory acme can be treated with topical antibiotics. Isotretinion and topical retinoids are used to treat moderate inflammatory acne. Contraceptive pills with cyproterone can be used by females with virilization to treat severe inflammatory acne.
Acne often leaves a scar behind. There are various scar treatments to remove the mark –
·Dermabrasion – A high-speed rotary wire brush or diamond-coated fraise is used to remove the top layer of the skin to make the scar look less pitted. This is done by a cosmetic surgeon.
·Microdermabrasion – It involves blasting tiny crystals at the skin and rubbing the skin with a rough tool.
·Laser resurfacing – The top layer of the skin is burnt off by a laser.
·Punch excision – A punch tool is used, with the help of which the scar is excised, and the edges are sutured together.
·Chemical peels – Glycolic, salicylic, or lactic are applied to the skin to get a smoother layer in an acid peel.
·Subcision – A deep pool of blood is created under the scar by detaching the scar from deeper tissue. This blood helps form a connective tissue under the scar, thus levelling it with the surface.
·Dermal filler – An injectable filler is used to fill up the scar.
Mantaining a good hygeine with proper diet and medications help to reduce the occurance of acme, thus boosting your confidence level and self esteem.

Botox Alternative - Look Younger Without The Risks Of Botox
What Plastic Surgeons don't tell you until AFTER you have had these expensive facial procedures.
Before you take any of these drastic measures that could not only cost you a lot of money but could potentially disfigure you for life, let me educate you on some basic facial skin care facts that can get you the same tighter, smoother, firmer results safely, without the risks of paralysis, weakening of facial muscles or disfigurement known to be caused by Botox injections, which has always carried an FDA warning.
First, if you want tighter, younger, firmer looking skin immediately, you need to use products that are going to hydrate your skin with a water based formulation. Your facial washes, toners, serums, moisturizers, eye creams, night creams, etc. should NOT include mineral oil or petroleum based products. Ideally, these products should also be vegan certified. That's right, no animal products or by-products should be in your skin care either. READ your labels! Water based products hydrate your skin which "plumps" it up and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Remember, our skin thins as we age a dramatic 6% every 10 years and it loses its ability to hold water as we get older. So if we hydrate it properly it will look years younger, firmer and tighter at any age.
Plastic Surgeons will tell you these facts after the surgery as part of your long term skin care to maintain the work they just completed. But why not try it before surgery and get the results you are looking for without the exorbitant cost or risk of disfigurement.
There are "lift" and "tightening" products available today that provide not only a temporary (7 to 8 hours) "lift" and "firmness" to your skin but literally shaves years off your age giving you a younger, firmer, tighter look immediately. The great news is that these products will also work long term to help your own body produce more elastin and collagen, which is what gives our skin that firmer, tighter, younger look like we had in our 20's and 30's. Unfortunately, our elastin and collagen production slows down dramatic 65% between the ages of 20 and 80. But don't despair, there is good news. With the right products that are water based, infused with beneficial botanicals and are safe to use on your entire face, you can repair and even reverse the signs of aging. These "lifting and tightening" products, which should be ophthalmologist tested, can even be used around your eyes, where we all, unfortunately, start to show our age the most. 99% of the time these results are immediate and with continued use, long term benefits are visible for everyone.
So before you consider Botox injections that could potentially disfigure you for life (and by the way, you need to continue these injections once you start them) or spend thousands of dollars on cosmetic surgery only to find out these secrets afterwards, why not save yourself money, recovery time, explanations to your friends and family and try a safe, healthy alternative that works immediately.

Sun Damaged Skin - Ways To Restore Your Skin’s Health And Beauty
Obviously, the passage of time is one of the primary factors of deterioration of the skin’s appearance, but there are many factors that can cause premature aging of the skin, giving rise to a situation where your skin appears to be much older than your actual age. Some of the causes of this premature skin aging include: Sun damage (or “photo-aging”); stress; environmental factors such as air pollution (including cigarette smoke); extremes of dry or humid weather; self-induced environmental factors such as smoking or these use of irritating skin products including makeup, cosmetics or lotions or the use of harsh soaps.
Along with these external factors, internal aging affects the growth of new skin cells; as the slowdown in the growth of new skin cells occurs, the appearance of these signs of aging is accelerated. Other factors, such as the loss of fatty tissue under the skin can leave skin lax or sagging or excessive or frequent facial expressions can lead to permanent lines or wrinkles (“laugh lines” or “frown lines”) can have further negative effect on the skin.
Sun exposure is almost invariably a leading factor in damage to the skin however wind and air pollution are also risks associated with the external environment. The effects of this combination is obvious when you examine the skin of someone who spends a great deal of time working outdoors in the elements, they have dry, leathery and creased skin at a very early age.
In most cases, damaged skin is the result of a combination of several (or many) of these causes working together on the patient’s skin to produce damaged skin that may suffer from a variety of common skin problems that are often lumped together under the description of age spots, aging skin and so forth.
The results of these factors are a combination of problems that are routinely lumped together due to their common causes: fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, "sun spots" or "age spots" (also known as melasma in medical terms) as well as poor skin or uneven skin tone. Additionally, other changes in skin texture can occur, including thin, dry skin with less elastic quality due to loss of the skins natural ability to hydrate itself.
Having established some of the factors that lead to premature skin aging, what can be done about it? Obviously, limiting exposure to some of the external risk factors such as sun and element exposure is one of the key ways to minimize skin damage; however there are also ways to help reduce the skin’s internal aging process as well! Professional skincare products such as the Obagi Nu-Derm system and other similar products can actually help counteract and offset the natural aging process, leading to skin with a younger, healthier appearance, as well as a reduction in pigmentation to help get rid of age spots or brown spots on the skin. The skin layers become thicker better hydrated and more like younger skin both in appearance and in the actual physical skin structures.
The Obagi Nu-Derm products have a proven history in correcting skin problems; products like Obagi Gentle Cleanser and Obagi Sunfader (among others) have been helping people correct skin issues for nearly twenty years. Today, Obagi has a presence in over 35 countries worldwide, with a proven track record in helping to correct some of the most common adult skin disorders and to improve the appearance of the skin. These topical products can be applied at home and over the course of a few weeks can lead to dramatic skin improvement through their steps of Prepare, Improve, Stimulate, Protect and Control. Let’s examine each of these steps in detail:
The “Prepare” step is used to cleanse the skin and make it ready for the treatment products. This step consists of Obagi Gentle Cleanser (for normal / dry skin) or Foaming Gel Cleanser (for normal / oily skin) to remove impurities, make-up, excess oils, and dead skin cells. The soap-free cleanser s is followed by the use of Obagi Toner to tone and refresh the skin and restore the skin’s pH balance.
The “Improve” step utilizes Obagi Clear and/or Obagi Exfoderm. Obagi Clear contains 4% hydroquinone, and is essential to improve uneven skin color and age spots. For some people with normal to oily skin types, Obagi Exforderm or Exfoderm Forte may be used in order to help exfoliate dead skin cells and improve the penetration of the other Obagi products.
The “Stimulate” step is a combination of Obagi Blender and prescription Tretinoin Cream used together to stimulate skin cell renewal and helps to even skin color and improve skin’s overall health.
The “Protect” step refers to the application of one of Obagi’ sun protection products: Obagi Sunfader SPF 15 with hydroquinone, Obagi Physical UV Block SPF 32 or Obagi Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35. By protecting the skin again sun damage, these products can help protect against sun-related premature aging and ultraviolet damage to the skin.
The “Control” step is accomplished through the use of complimentary Obagi moisturizing products, including Obagi Eye Cream for the sensitive eye area, Obagi Action, a moisturizing cream, or Obagi Tolereen with hydrocortisone for the temporary relief of the itching or burning sensations associated with minor skin irritations.
The combination of these Obagi products, used as directed by the appropriate skin care professional helps to rejuvenate the skin layers and restore skin to a healthier state. The appearance of the skin is smoothed and wrinkles have a diminished appearance. Pigmentation and discoloration is reduced and made more even to minimize the appearance of freckles and age spots. The deepest layers of the skin become more uniform. The Obagi Nu-Derm system helps to increase collagen and elastin, for more elastic and firmer skin. All of these actions help to give skin a more supple, hydrated and youthful look and feel, creating healthier skin from the inside.
Now, you no longer have to settle for damaged or old-looking skin. Fine lines, wrinkles, creases as well as pigmentation problems such as age spots or other discolorations can be dramatically improved through the use of professional strength corrective skin therapy, such as the Obagi Nu-Derm system. These professional anti-aging products can help to counteract or reverse these problems, and help to restore skin to a younger, healthier appearance. Additionally, you can also change the environmental factors such as sun exposure. With the help of your skin health professional, you can make progress to reverse the negative influences and rejuvenate your skin.

Scrubbing Your Way To Anti-Aging
Before you start the skin cleansing process you will want to assemble a few items. You will want to get some cotton balls (or a disposable facial cleansing cloth), a soft towel, and your products together. If your products do not contain sun screen you will want to have some of that handy as well.
The first thing you will need to do is to clean your skin. To clean your skin properly you will need to use a facial scrub or a moisturizer. Apply the moisturizer or scrub in small circles all over your face. Rub it in gently and make sure to cover your entire face (though you will want to be careful around your eyes, nostrils and mouth). You will not want to rub the product all the way into your skin, you will want it to penetrate just enough to grab the dirt and relax your pores to allow for deeper cleansing.
Once you have rinsed off your facial scrub or moisturizer you will give your face a little massage. Make sure to massage your face with the pads of your fingers. You don't need any fancy massage tools for this step. Your face is very sensitive and massage tools often do more damage than good.
After you massage your face, you will want to give it another rinse, to rinse away any dirt or oil that might have been transferred from your fingers. After rinsing, dry your face with a soft towel by patting the towel gently on your face. Avoid a rubbing motion and avoid any fabric that is rough or coarse. These can scratch the skin.
Once your skin is dry, you will apply a toner (make sure it is alcohol free) with the cotton balls or the disposable facial cleansing cloth. Toner reduces the size of your pores, gets rid of dry skin and fights ingrown hair. You will want to take care to choose a toner that is not sensitive to light.
The last steps are the application of moisturizer, sunscreen and your anti-aging and/or anti-wrinkle creams. The good news is that these products are so varied that it is often possible to find all of these components in a single product.
You don't need to slop the stuff on, just a small amount each morning and night should suffice. Always make sure to read the directions carefully and avoid overusing the product.

Dry Skin Care 101
Signs of a dry skin are:
i) Flaky patches that disappear with regular moisturizing.
(ii) Finely textured with the pores not being visible.
(iii) Tiny expression lines that do not disappear.
Causes Of Dry Skin
A dry skin problem can be uncomfortable and even maddening. Your skin might feel tight and painful; it might look dull or red or flaky. Worst of all is the itchiness -- the sort of overwhelming itchiness that makes you feel like you're infested with fleas, that keeps you awake at night, miserably raking your skin with a back scratcher.
Simple causes include harsh soap, itchy clothing, misusing moisturizer, and long, hot showers. But the medications you take -- and even medical conditions such as diabetes, psoriasis, hypothyroidism, and malnutrition -- can also cause severe dry skin. Read on to understand how and why these problems dry out your skin.
Taking a bath with extremely hot or cold water also causes the skin to dry. Lukewarm water is the best option in such cases. Chemically harsh soaps and cosmetics can also harm the skin to a great extent. Toweling roughly instead of patting removes all the moisture from the skin without allowing the skin to retain the amount it needs.
Remedies for Dry Skin
The remedy is to treat the skin with substances that enhance its moisture-retention capabilities. In early adulthood, our skin cells begin to become more porous and less elastic. When a moisturizer is applied, it hydrates the cells, but the cells quickly lose the moisture. If substances that work synergistically together to restore the skin cells' elasticity are applied to the skin, then as the healing progresses, the cells continue to admit moisture as before, but after the healing are better able to keep it from escaping.
Tips For Dry Skin Care
1. Excessive exposure to sun should be avoided in case of dry skin and always use Sunscreen lotion before going out insun.
2. After bathing or shower, do not rub the skin instead use pat dry the skin with a soft Towel and apply the moisturizer for dry skin all over the skin.
3. If you suffer from any kind of skin problem then consult the skin doctor.
4. Make a paste of 1 spoon milk cream, 1 spoon multani mitti, ½ spoon honey and little amount of oil. Apply this paste on your skin and keep it there for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off after it gets dry.

Best Way To Remove Blackheads
Blackheads are the slightly different sibling of zits, and like zits, squeezing them can be addictive. Composed of the same oil, or sebum, that contributes to the production of pimples, blackheads result from a building up of this oil in pores – the difference in appearance is the result of the blackhead’s exposure to the air, the reaction of which with the oil causes the trademark black color of these blemishes. And while blackheads are more easily obscured by makeup, they can seem less offensive to the sufferer, and as a result, less damaging to squeeze. But the bad news is that this is not the best way of removing blackheads – the fun stuff is always bad for us! And while squeezing them might be fun, getting rid of them altogether sounds better. So what is the best way to remove blackheads from our lives? Here are some tips for removing blackheads for good.
So, how to get rid of blackheads? Like pimples, blackheads are the result of an underlying skin problem – the over production of oil by glands contained in our skin, exacerbated by the improper shedding of old skin – and rather than removing blackheads by squeezing, the best way to get rid of them is by attacking the source of the problem. A good cleansing routine is one of the best ways to remove blackheads, as it will help wash away excess oil and dead skin particles. A gentle cleanser is a good choice as it won’t dry out the skin excessively (which results in the production of even more of that nasty sebum!). Combined with the use of a gentle exfoliant, which will help remove old skin cells, this is all you need to help keep your skin blackhead free.
But we all know that blackheads can be persistent, so how to get rid of blackheads that are more stubborn? Aggressive manipulation of the skin is never good, and so tips for removing blackheads include above all else a gentle touch. Before attempting to squeeze a blackhead, open up your pores by steaming your face, and then use a blackhead remover or some clean tissue to remove the blockage. Remember – the best way to remove blackheads is to be gentle! An overly heavy hand will only force the blockage deeper into the skin, causing dreaded zits! Surely squeezing isn’t worth that!

Obagi Blue Peel
Originated and developed by Dr. Zein Obagi, the Obagi Blue Peel comprises of an aggressive treatment for advanced skin regeneration. It is among the most efficient processes of chemical peeling, and is regarded as a medium depth chemical peel treatment. It iss much like the TCA peel, as its primary active element is trichloroacetic acid. The Obagi Blue Peel Nu Derm System, is also referred to as "blue peel", "obagi peel", and even "TCA peel".
An advantage to the Obagi Blue Peel that physicians value is that the treatment can be easily customized to each specific patient by controlling the depth of the peel. A blueish-green dye is blended with the cream mixture to signal and assist the physician where the Blue Peel has not been distributed.
A modest inconvenience of the blue peel is that after the pasty application, you literally appear like a "blue smurf". Fortunately, the residue of the blue peel stays on and stains your skin only temporarily, shortly dissolving away.
The blue peel needs a number of returning appointments, as it tends to be weaker than an absolute TCA peel. The mildly irritating treatments lasts for aproximately 20 minutes, and it's recommended to be on the Obagi Skin Care System regimen as a precursor to the peel.
The Obagi Blue Peel system aids in restoring healthy, aesthetic skin and can be found in just about every dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons office as a component of their skin care solution repertoire. You can go to Obagi's official site, obagi.com to find a trained physician in your area and give Obagi Blue Peel a try.

Exfoliating - Anti-Aging Secret!
Our skin has an uncanny ability for recuperation. Consider this, the skin is exposed to abuse from the sun, air, pollution, air-conditioning and heat furnaces every day. Still it bounces back. The top layer of skin, called the epidermis, is periodically shed, leaving a softer, smoother layer exposed below. This is a natural, normal process that occurs every day and is called exfoliation. The exfoliating process is especially important for those interested in the very best anti-aging skin care. I believe all serious skin care is anti-aging skin care with the goal of keeping your skin healthy and youthful looking.
There are any number of anti-aging skin care products on the market today designed to give your skin the radiant clarity and glow of new skin by employing and speeding up this exfoliation process whenever you want. Including weekly exfoliation as part of your regular anti-aging skin care routine is important to remove dead skin cells and prevent skin from looking dull and aged.
Exfoliation Products Exfoliating, also called sloughing or epidermabrasion, can be accomplished in several different ways. Cosmetic companies offer a variety of exfoliation products which are generally categorized as abrasive or chemical.
Abrasive Exfoliates
Abrasive exfoliates remove dead cells with such ingredients as synthetic or food grains. One company relies on ground rice as one of its main sloughing ingredients, while another one has produced a product with the look and texture of oatmeal. Other abrasives are cornmeal and ground almonds which can use yogurt, oils or honey as soothers. Try any of these combinations yourself at home or use another one that appeals to you. You might want to try commercial products as well as homemade recipes.
There are also a host of brushes, mitts and washcloths used for this purpose. There are also body sloughing materials sold which definitely should not be used on the face.
Your skin will let you know if you are overdoing the exfoliating routine. If it becomes red or sensitive, cut back on the frequency. At all times, apply the abrasive material gently.
Chemical Exfoliates
Chemical exfoliates work by clearing away dead skin with salicylic acid, which you may know is a popular treatment for acne. There are an array of chemical exfoliates on the market from which you can make a choice as to which is best suited to your skin type and budget.
How to Incorporate Exfoliation Into Your Anti-Aging Skin Care Routine
1. Remove make-up with special creams designed for that purpose.
2. Cleansing - Use special facial cleansing bars appropriate for your skin type. Avoid soaps which have a tendency to dry out your skin.
3. Exfoliating - Exfoliate, using either a commercial product or homemade recipe.
4. Toning - Use a gentle toner after exfoliating to stimulate your skin and tighten the pores. Toners can make your skin appear smoother, and they do add brightness to your complexion.
5. Moisturize - Apply your favorite moisturizer.
In conclusion, people are living longer, healthier lives because of the many advances in the health field which make taking good care of the way your skin looks more important than ever before. Anti-aging skin care is a topic of interest to a lot of people today. Be assured that you have a wide choice in skin care products and that the quality is not necessarily proportional to price. Anti-aging skin care is within the reach of everyone.

Anti-Aging Eye Cream - A Must Have!
When a woman ages, there comes that sense of wisdom and maturity. There are also the added perks of being able to take advantage (when qualified) for reduced or discounted prices on medicine, bus passes, etc. But with age also comes the dreaded and less enjoyable things like wrinkles, which freak out most women even if they find just a small, single fine line. Many women, even as young as 20, have started using anti-wrinkle eye cream and anti-wrinkle face cream, once they see the signs of wrinkles and fine lines on their faces. The most sensitive skin area would be the skin on the face. Long durations of exposure to the sun, smoking (which is also bad for your health) and constant make-up application can have a negative effect on how a woman looks when it comes to age. The aging process causes less moisture to be retained resulting in the drying out of the skin and the faster development of wrinkles. These are just a few of the things that causes wrinkles but the right face and eye cream can help delay the occurrence of wrinkles and can actually take ages off a woman’s look.
It is important to know that having wrinkles is a natural occurrence when people begin to age - most especially in the later years. While wrinkles are pretty much unavoidable, they can be delayed with the help of some beauty and cosmetic products. The gravitational force that pulls down the body’s tissues is a basic cause of wrinkles. Aside from this, the moisture loss in the skin also contributes to this occurrence causing the breakdown of collagen and damage over time that then effects to the skin sagging and the appearance of deep lines.
Eye cream products for the surrounding eye area are different from your other skin care products for the face or other body parts. Anti-aging and anti-wrinkle creams have been specially made to be applied on the face providing the needed extra moisture rejuvenating the skin with components that reduce damage of collagens and free radical activity. They have the goal of diminishing the fine lines that appear around the eye area. Anti-wrinkle eye cream contains ingredients that provide added moisture needed by the skin. The moisture helps make the skin in the eye area look firm and minimizes skin darkening or dark circles. The more moisture in the eye cream, the better the results are produced. Vitamins A and D are typically lost from long sun exposures and so most anti-wrinkle eye creams contain such vitamins.
As to whether these anti-wrinkle and anti-aging eye creams work, different women have different results. In choosing an eye cream, the skin type should always be considered. For women with dry skin, selecting an eye cream with lots of moisturizers is best while women with oily skin types should choose those eye creams suited for their particular skin type.
To avoid aging and wrinkles, an active lifestyle, a well-balanced diet, vitamins, lots of water, anti-wrinkle creams and sunscreen application can contribute to looking younger than your age.

Obagi - The Secret Against Anti-Aging
Obagi skin care products improve the appearance of skin by making skin healthier. Obagi skin care products penetrate the skin to work at a cellular level to accelerate cellular turnover, which results in fresher looking and feeling skin.
Obagi NuDerm system is a skin care system that lightens and prevents mottled pigmentation such as freckles or age spots. The Obagi NuDerm system also promotes more uniform cells for better balanced, more even skin tone. Obagi NuDerm System helps increase collagen and elastin for firmer, more resilient looking skin, and increases natural hydration and circulation for supple, healthy-looking skin.
Obagi Elastiderm uses a breakthrough bi-mineral complex to help replenish and cross link elastin, and build collagen to give skin functional elasticity which results in the appearance of fewer wrinkles when used for as little time as two weeks.
Obagi C-Rx and Obagi C Professional products deliver Vitamin C deep below the surface of the skin to stop free radicals from damaging the healthy structure of supportive lower layers of skin. Obagi C products promote smoother, brighter skin with fewer fine lines and wrinkles as well as radiance and photo luminous skin.
Obagi Cleansiderm M.D. is an anti-acne treatment that contains five percent liquid benzoyl peroxide. Acne starts deep within hair follicles (pores) and the insoluble forms of benzoyl peroxide that most acne treatments contain cannot penetrate skin to reach the acne where it begins. Because Obagi Cleansiderm M.D. is a liquefied form of benzoyl, it penetrates deeply to reduce acne below the skin's surface, which results in clearer skin in as early as two weeks.

Exercising For Healthy Skin
Practically any exercise routine can provide beneficial effects on skin. Stretching is one good way to prepare the body for exercise, loosening up the muscles for any activity that will follow. This kind of activity does not take much effort, since even standing or sitting up straight already involve stretching. Simply extending your arms upwards and your legs forward constitutes stretching and are exercise in itself.
After stretching, one can proceed to more vigorous exercise routines, such as aerobic exercises. By definition, aerobic exercises are activities that increased blood circulation, making the delivery and transfer of oxygen more efficient throughout the rest of the body. This helps the skin in that it oxygenates the cells and helps remove toxins that we take in from eating processed foods and daily exposure to pollution, particularly smog and smoke.
Another exercise regimen that one can derive much pleasure from is bicycling. Apart from using leg muscles to its fullest capacity, riding a bike is also a popular recreational activity, allowing one to enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer. The sweat brought on by exercise not only cools the body, it also flushes out dirt and sebum produced by glands in the skin. This reduces the breakout of acne and allows the pore of the skin to breathe.
Running is also a popular exercise routine, especially for those near parks and woodlands. This particular activity can be especially enjoyable when done with friends or family. Running is a well-recognized form of dealing with stress brought on by daily lives. For those living with hectic schedules and are constantly plagued by deadlines, running allows some form of release from all the tension experienced by the mind and the body. This form of exercise also provides much benefit to the skin. Acne breakouts are associated with increased levels of male hormones in the body. Women, in particular, produce these hormones in smaller quantities. However, stress can cause the adrenal glands to increase its secretions of male hormones, leading to the occurrence of those dreaded pimples. Ergo, those whose skins are prone to acne breakouts can achieve clearer complexion through exercise. Reducing stress also means lesser chances of frowning, thereby helping to avoid the formation of lines around the mouth and eyes.
Consequently, running, or other forms of exercise like swimming, dancing, even weight lifting, also reduces the appearance of wrinkles by enhancing the build up of collagen in the body. For those not in the know, collagen is the substance that makes any part of our bodies firm and perky. Therefore, those who have no wishes to show signs of aging should make it a point to incorporate exercise in their daily or weekly routines.
Of course, all these exercise would come to naught if no changes in the overall lifestyle of a person. The benefits of exercise on the skin will not be achieved if one continues to smoke, drink heavily, and take drugs. These substances adversely affect the overall health of the skin, and must be avoided at all cost in order to achieve your best physically. Sleepless nights also contribute to unhealthy skin and appearance, so be sure to make it a point to get enough sleep.

Skin Care - Foods To Avoid
Have you ever heard the popular phrase “You are what You eat”? Whether you like it or not your diet will reflect on your skin. Eat healthy food, and you will look healthy. Eat junk food, you won’t be looking good. That is why it is important to know the right foods to eat for clear skin. This article will help you get on the right track of skin care, because it is not all about using creams and products; the most basic skin care begins by eating right.
First you should know that a diet for the overall health of the body is the best place to start, and in most cases that is enough for your skin, unless you have a deficiency of some type. But there are certain foods you must eat in order to keep your skin looking healthy, young and radiant.
Start by cutting junk food. People who eat junk food gain weight, have a pasty complexion and even bad hair. I know it is hard at first, but you can start little by little, always walking towards your goal. And please, don’t get into yo-yo diets. By gaining and losing weight constantly, your skin will stretch, and then remain saggy.
Fluids Fluids are essential to our skin diet because they help moisturize the skin. Experts recommend that we should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water throughout the day, but don’t fall in the trap of drinking the 8 glasses in the morning, you should rationalize them and drink them in a natural way.
Don’t replace water for coffee or sodas. Caffeine is a diuretic (tends to increase the discharge of urine). Reduce your intake of coffee or tea to a maximum of 2 per day. Also don’t drinking too much water 2-3 hours before going to bed to avoid morning puffiness and skin stretch.
Alcohol is bad, avoid it at all costs if possible.
Essential Fatty Acids Also called EFAs, they are obtained from food, because our bodies can’t produce them. There are two classes of EFAs: Omega 3 and Omega 6. For our skin Omega 3 is the one we need.
EFA’s should account for a 15% of our calorie intake, and can be found on:
* Sardines
* Tuna
* Salmon
* Nuts
* Seeds and their oils (ground flaxseeds)
* Prawns
* Soya beans
Reducing the intake of saturated and processed fats is very important if you want the EFAs to work. These fats cancel its effects.
Antioxidants Antioxidant nutrients protect us from infection and can prevent us from degenerative diseases such as cancer or heart disease. These nutrients are found in Vitamins A, C, E and some B complex vitamins; and minerals selenium, manganese and zinc.
Antioxidants play a key role destroying free radicals (electrochemically unbalanced molecules that are produced within our bodies by chemicals, too much sun exposure and stress). Free radicals damage collagen, and collagen is what keeps our skin elastic.
We can find antioxidants in:
* Berries
* Black grapes
* Brazil nuts
* Broccoli
* Carrots
* Cherries
* Chestnuts
* Hazelnuts
* Kale
* Raisins
* Papaya
* Peas
* Peppers
* Prunes
* Spinch
* Sweet potatoes
* Tomatoes
Iron Iron is used for the formation of hemoglobin. A deficiency in iron brings anemia, and this shows up in our bodies by a pale complexion and dark circles under the eyes. Iron is best processed from animal food but can be found also in some vegetables. The best sources of iron are
* Red meat
* Seafood
* Liver
* Eggs
* Spinach
Vitamin A Vitamin A helps in the formation of new cell, this keeps our skin supple and is vital for our eyes and hair. If you are lacking of Vitamin A, your skin will be dry and flaky. It is manufactured by our bodies from beta-carotene and can be found in:
* Whole milk
* Whole butter
* Liver
* Oily fish
* Eggs
* Dark orange vegetables (carrots, sweet potatoes, winter squash)
* Dark green vegetables (broccoli, spinach, kale)
Vitamin C Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, essential for the production of collagen (the elastic tissue in our skin that declines with age). Every time you are smoking, under stress or under too much sun exposure, your are draining vitamin C from your body, so it is best to avoid these situations in excess. Vitamin is found in:
* Citrus fruits (orange, lemon, grapefruit, lime)
* Tomatoes
* Potatoes
* Papaya
* Broccoli
* Brussels sprouts
* Black currants
* Kiwi
* Strawberries
* Peas
* Cauliflower
Vitamin E Another antioxidant, Vitamin E has a powerful action against the damage of free radicals. This vitamin helps our skin retain its moisture, and a lack of it brings premature wrinkles, pale skin, acne, easy bruising and slow wound healing. Vitamin E can be found in:
* Vegetable oils
* Nuts and seeds
* Peanut butter
* Wheat germ
* Whole grains
* Avocados
* Sweet potatoes
Vitamin B complex Keep your skin moist and smooth with Vitamin B complex. It releases energy from food for skin metabolism. This can be found in:
* Milk
* Oily fish
* Poultry
* Red meat
* Offal
* Eggs
* Bananas
* Soya beans
* Whole grain
* Wheat germ
* Peanut butter
* Fortified breakfast cereals
Beta-carotene Beta carotene is the plant form of the vitamin A, converted by our bodies. It protects us from the aging effect of the sun and can be found in:
* Dark green vegetables (spinach, broccoli, watercress)
* Orange fruit and vegetables
Selenium Perfect for protection against free radicals and to counter dry skin. Selenium along with vitamin E support the immune system. Found in:
* Cereals
* Meat
* Offal
* Seafood
* Eggs
* Cheese
* Brazil nuts
* Whole grains
* Mushrooms
* Beans
* Molasses
* Wheat germs
Zinc Zinc is another mineral vital to the immune system. It manufactures collagen and speeds up healing in our bodies, included skin. A deficiency produces stretch marks, a dull complexion, white spots on fingernails, dandruff and stubborn blemishes. Zinc can be found on:
* Seafood
* Red meat
* Cheese
* Brewer’s yeast
* Whole grains
* Mushrooms
* Offal
* Eggs
* Turkey and nuts
As you see there are many components in our diets that can help our skin. Instead of making yourself a diet just for skin care, make one that works for the health of your overall body, and then, if you find a deficiency you will know what foods you need to eat to keep your skin clear and good looking. It’s all about balancing your diet.

Sensitive Skin. And the Many Causes.
Symptoms of Sensitive Skin
Before you can think about treating sensitive skin, you first have to be sure that you actually have the condition first. Do you notice a tingling sensation in your skin or feel it tightening up—but can not see any visible signs of a problem? Are you constantly searching for skin care and hygiene products that will NOT cause a severe allergic reaction with your skin? Does shaving seem to cause severe reactions and lead to physical symptoms such as red or inflamed welts? Have co-workers or spouses noticed your face and skin turn dark red due to stress? Have you had continuing problems with your skin such as dryness or diffuse redness—but never actually found a cause? If you have answered yes to one or more of the above questions, then you probably suffer from some form of sensitive skin. There are three types: fair skin, sensitive skin, and sensitive skin with triggers.
Common Causes of Sensitive Skin Problems
Sometimes, sensitive skin is just something you are born with and therefore must find a way to manage for the rest of your life. If you have always blushed or itched easily or been especially prone to sunburn or the development of freckles due to short sun exposure, then you most likely have a genetic predisposition to the condition.
People with a genetic predisposition towards sensitive skin may also find things like wool or latex gloves to be irritating and the cause of allergic reactions. People with sensitive skin do not necessarily have problems with exposure to sunlight, but it is common. The important distinction is that there is a sensitivity to things that come into contact with the skin.
Some people are genetically prone to sensitive skin—but not all the time. That is, sensitive skin symptoms are triggered by certain factors. Foods are a common cause of skin problems. Some people blush excessively with increased levels of stress. Even changing skin care products or medications can trigger an allergic reaction with painful symptoms. Sensitive skin triggers such as food, stress, medication, or skin care products must be monitored and avoided once it is discovered their connection with any skin problems.
Treatment Options for Sensitive Skin
As mentioned above, there are three basic types of sensitive skin: fair skin, which you are born with and tends to cause freckles and sunburns due to short exposure to direct sunlight; sensitive skin, which reacts adversely to things like latex and wool—you may still blush or sunburn easily, however; and sensitive skin with triggers, where the condition is not permanent but caused by external factors such as stress, food, or skin care products.
For those with sensitive skin since birth, the best way to manage the problem is to accept the problem. Long periods of exposure to the skin will prove damaging and trigger symptoms—no matter how much sun block you use! Even short to moderate periods of sun exposure need some sort of sun protection with a moisturizer. Although some sunlight is necessary for a healthy body, it is best for those with fair skin to go outdoors when it is cloudy—indirect sunlight will still provide you with the vitamins you need for healthy skin without the risk of sunburn.
People who have allergic reactions to products like latex, wool, or other products should obviously avoid them at all costs. If exposure is inevitable or has already occurred, apply a moisturizer directly to the affected area and rub in thoroughly. Be sure to use moisturizers made with all natural ingredients because those made from chemicals may cause a more severe allergic reaction or lead to dehydration. Continue applying the moisturizer every 4-6 hours and contact your physician if the symptoms do not disappear within 24-48 hours.
When sensitive skin outbreaks are triggered by things like stress or foods, it is critical to take certain precautions. Try to avoid foods with hot spices such as cayenne, curry, or chipotle. Also, limit consumption of all hot foods or drinks as well as substances such as caffeine or alcohol. Intense physical exercise will cause extreme flushing as well as intense temperatures—hot or cold. By avoiding these conditions and situations, you can limit the problems associated with the symptoms of sensitive skin while not radically altering your lifestyle.
It is also critical that you prevent any conditions that may cause your skin to become sensitive. In nearly 50 percent of the cases, dry skin accompanies a sensitive skin condition. Therefore, finding the right moisturizer is the proactive step you can take to limit sensitive skin problems. Moisturizers should not be used if they have active chemical ingredients or alcohol in them. These products may cause a dry skin problem as they will dehydrate the body and cause skin to lose moisture.
Moisturizers made with all natural ingredients are preferred to those made with chemicals or other synthetic products. Not only are these less likely to cause dehydration and dry skin, they also are far less likely to cause other allergic reactions common to those with sensitive skin.

Best Tips Hand & Feet Skin Care
Although your face is the window to the world, you cannot neglect the rest of the body. Keeping your arms, legs, hands and feet soft and moisturized is very important. Looking after your hands and feet is of prime importance too. A well manicured hand not only adds beauty to your personality but also shows how well groomed you look.
Giving equal attention to all parts of the body is important. Avoid too much sun and keep your hands covered to protect them from age spots and blotches. The Best Eye Care Cream!
Most of us, at some point in our lives, make the decision to choose an anti-aging skin cream for ourselves and hope for the best. Right now the top anti-aging skin creams are Hydroderm, Lifecell, Lush and Revitol Anti Aging Solution.
Hydroderm's line of anti-aging skin creams consist of Vyo-Serum and marine collagen. Typically collagen is a protein that is too heavy to pass through the pores of your skin (this is what makes it so popular for plastic surgery). Hydroderm, however, is made of a protective outer layer that is designed to keep a person's skin fresh while the "hydroderm infusion delivery system" allows the rest of the vyo-serum to be absorbed. Vyo-serum is a serum that is made up of proteins that encourages the face to tighten while it moisturizes the face. Hydroderm is a very popular product and this is partly due to its widely varied product line. Hydroderm makes products for both genders, all skin types and all ages.
Lifecell is another line of anti wrinkle skin cream that is very popular. The Lifecell Company likes to boast that its products can fix the signs of aging (like wrinkles, age-spots, dark circles and puffiness) and decrease the need for plastic surgery. Lifecell is made up of ingredients that have all been tested and proven to fight the skin conditions that speed up the look of aging. These ingredients are what will help Lifecell to restore the skin's "youthful glow" by tightening the pores. You would be amazed what a little bit of skin tightening can do for your appearance. Simply reducing the size of your pores can take years off of your appearance!
Lush also has a line of anti aging skin creams that are very popular on today's market. Lush boasts a one hundred percent natural ingredient list. Oh yes, you could eat lush if you got desperate enough for sustenance. Some of the ingredients used in Lush are soy butter, green tea and wheatgrass. Revitol Anti Aging Solution has also become very popular among testers and clinicians. Revitol's line of anti wrinkle skin creams fight lines and wrinkles, smooth the skin, lighten spots and dark circles and hydrates.
These are just a few of the skin creams that are available on the market today. Choosing the right one for you should take no time at all!

Taking Care Of Your Hands - Essential Tips For Healthy Skin
A lot of people do not really pay much attention to their hands. Most are conscious about their hair, face or skin, but only a few are really interested in taking good care of their hands. But come to think of it, the limbs, particularly the hands, are important in going about one's daily tasks. A person with no shakers would surely find it difficult to perform even the simplest activities such as eating, brushing the teeth, taking a bath and dressing up.
So if you have not been taking care of your hands lately, you better read on and learn the tips on how you should take good care of them.
Keep Clean At All Times
Your hands are carriers of bacterial, viral and even fungal infections so it is imperative that you wash them every time you use the bathroom, before and after eating anything, after sneezing or blowing your nose and before touching your face. You can protect your family members and yourself from getting sick if only you incorporate this habit in your lifestyle.
Be Careful Of What You Touch
Handles of the stairs to subway stations, doorknobs to public comfort rooms, railings on the park and even your twenty-dollar bill are so full of microorganisms, fecal matter, spit and other disgusting things that you don't want to know about. If you want to prevent your hands from catching fungal infections and your body from ingesting harmful viruses and bacteria, then you should take precautionary measures in handling things in public areas.
Keep Your Hands Hydrated
The secret to having beautiful hands is keeping it moisturized and hydrated at all times. You should drink plenty of water to make sure that your skin is moisturized from within. You should also buy a hand cream or lotion which you can carry at all times so that you can apply lotion or cream on your hands anytime. Most hand soaps contain acidic ingredients, such as triclosan and other bacteria-fighting elements that can make your hands and nails dry and flaky.
Try Different Strokes For Different Seasons
You need to understand that your hands also need some extra care during summer and winter seasons. If you are taking extra precaution to shield your face and neck during extreme weather conditions, you need to understand that your hands also need the same care.
During summer seasons, especially when you are out on the beach, put on a sunscreen with a high SPF not only on your face and neck, but also on your hands. Give special attention to and apply more sunscreen on the back of your hands.
In winter, you need to keep your hands and arms warm at all times, especially when you are going out. Always wear gloves when you are outdoors or mittens when you are inside your home. Arthritic pain can often flare up during the cold weather, so be sure to wrap your hands with a towel or blanket when you go to sleep at night to minimize pain, if you have arthritis.
Pay Attention To Your Nails Too
Fingernails are essential part of your hands so do not forget to keep them clean and dry too. Do not bite your nails because they will chip and become uneven. You should always remember that your nails are not unbreakable, so do not use them to open cans or beer bottles or pry open tight screws and other hard objects.
You should also be aware of your nails' health because sometimes symptoms of diseases are manifested in nails. For example, about 10% of psoriasis cases start from the splitting of the nail bed.
The most common nail problem in the US is nail fungus. Once you see that your nail bed is discolored, or a foul smell is emanating from them, or there is a stark thickening and deformation of your nails, you better go straight to a dermatologist because you may already be suffering from nail fungus. One product that is effective in fighting the microbe that causes this condition is Somasin. For details, check out http://www.somasin.com/.

Organic Skin Care Tips
As far as organs go, the skin is by far the most important when it comes to protecting you during your regular daily routine. It's important to keep your skin healthy so it in turn can keep your other organs healthy. One of the best ways to keep your skin healthy is to use organic cosmetics and skin care.
Every day your skin comes into contact with chemicals and unnatural ingredients. By using cosmetics to give your skin a healthy and radiant glow and to make it illustrious and eloquent, you increase the amount of chemicals your skin is subjected to -- unless you are using cosmetics made organically.
Organic cosmetics are simply cosmetic products that have 100% natural ingredients contained in them. Many people are making the switch to organic because a lot of the skin care products you use can be absorbed into your bloodstream.
I want you to consider this -- there are cosmetic products that are made with aluminum, formaldihydes, alcohol, and so on. Do you want your skin to absorb these and have them enter your bloodstream year in and year out?
Many people do not want to play Russian roulette when it comes to using chemicals that are added into cosmetics. While many chemicals are harmless, there are a few that are probably damaging in the long-run that science isn't aware of yet.
It's simple to bypass all of that if you use cosmetics that contain 100% natural ingredients. Besides cutting back on the risk of damaging your own body, you're cutting back on the risk of damaging the environment.
There are other benefits to using organic cosmetics and skin care as well. For example, the less chemicals and artificial products that are contained in your skin care products, the less of a chance you will have an allergic reaction to them. Many people have found that certain cosmetics have triggered asthmatic reactions that are no longer triggered when using organic makeup.
Finally, many people simply report that their skin feels better when using natural ingredients. This may be a psychosomatic thing, but it exists nonetheless. Whether it is simply believing your skin will feel better because you are using organic cosmetics or that it actually feels better, the results are the same. If you would like to enjoy these benefits as well, I urge you to research the matter more in depth.
